Burton Book Brigade

We have a stockpile of 1400+ brand new books. Lotta books, right? Well, rather than letting them collect dust until summer — whatever summer will ultimately look like — Judah and Phoebe (and Ben) are spearheading the Burton Book Brigade. The idea is to support super readers nearby to raise books and bucks for kids in Detroit.

Here’s how it works.

  1. Anyone can pick out books from the list below. Once a title “sells out,” we’ll take it off the list.

  2. Pledge a donation any amount … maybe $5 per book or 5 for $20. But really, it’s up to you … pay what you may!

  3. We’ll let you know when we are going to deliver them — safe, sanitized, soon.

  4. If you have gently used children’s books you want to donate, you can leave them out for us.
    (You can even donate these books back when you're done reading them.)

  5. All the proceeds — dollars and donated books — will go toward supporting
    Summer in the City campers in Detroit.
